Add new keys to an existing keyring

You may sometimes obtain additional keys to add to an existing keyring . You can of course attach these manually without updating Keyzapp, but it is useful to add a few details about individual keys to Keyzapp so that you can use Advanced Search to identify any key which becomes separated from the keyring.

To add details of new keys to an existing keyring:

  1. Search for either the Keyring ID or the property address in Keyzapp
  2. Select the appropriate Keyring ID
  3. Use the Edit button in the Keyring Details box 
  4. Fill in a description for each additional key and click Save 




The best way of keeping a description of each key on a keyring is to use the Individual Keys box, which is available once a keyring is created.




If a key is added to the ring, you will be prompted to add the details after clicking Edit Keys


  1. Fill in any available details to identify the key
  2. Click Save
  3. Once the information is complete, click Close
