Using Keyzapp on Android phones
You do not need an app to use Keyzapp on your Android device. We just recommend that you add Keyzapp to your home screen the first time you log in.
Scanning Keys with the Camera (Works on any Android phone)
This is the recommended method if you have an older Android device that does not allow NFC scanning:
- Open your phone's Camera App
- Place the QR code from a fob in front of the camera
- Tap the message that appears
- Keyzapp will open in your phone's browser
This is the recommended way to scan keys on Android phones that allow NFC scanning. However, each manufacturer offers different technology, so it's recommended that you check that your device offers this functionality. A quick Google search should do!
- Touch the fob to the the phone; please note, the reader is stored in different locations on different devices
- Accept the message that appears
- Keyzapp will open in your phone's browser
