Keyzapp is extremely flexible in the way in which properties can be linked to an individual keyring, so it is ideal for setting up a suite of master keys.

Create a new Property

A generic property address is required before master keys can be created, so create a new property, or use an existing address which will also hold the master key (eg, a warden's flat address).


Assign a keyfob and keyring


  1. Tap or scan a keyfob in the usual way, and assign a keyhook.
  2. Check the Master Key box.  If this is not visible, or has a different name, please contact Support to have this feature adapted to your requirements.
  3. Create the keyring.

The  keyring screen will be slightly different from the usual one, using a "chain link" icon to identify this key as one which is shared by a number of properties. Details of the key on the ring can be edited in the Keyring Details box, and in the Individual Keys box.


All properties to which this key gives access can then be linked to it from the Add Property button.  This will then change to Edit Property links.




A warning will appear if you attempt to add a property which is already linked to this keyring.





Using the steps above, it is possible to create any combination of Master Key, Sub-set keys or key suites.  Please contact us if you would like to discuss your specific needs.
